Before taking up writing full time, Clay McGovern worked in academia at several colleges and universities in Louisiana and Texas. Clay earned a B.A. in philosophy with a minor in literature from Loyola University in New Orleans and a M.A. in philosophy from Tulane University, finishing all coursework toward a PhD. Post-graduate school, he worked full-time as an instructional technologist and taught philosophy part-time. Clay lives in Houston's First Ward Arts District with his wife and two rescued pooches.
